802.11n: Faster, wider WiFi

Word has been circulating the web over the past few days that a standard has been agreed for 802.11n, the next generation standard for wireless internet access. 802.11n will theoretically be up to 10x faster than 802.11g which is the fastest standard commonly used in public hotspots, and faster too than most wired networks. It is also expected that 802.11n signals will travel further. Naturally it'll take a while for the new technology to catch on, but once it does we will be able to enjoy much faster networks, with wider reaches.
